TaTiana Syromiatnikova
Instructor

TaTiana is originally from Riga, Latvia. She took her first ballroom dance lesson at age 7. After learning the basic steps in the primary dances, TaTiana and her partner took part in their first dance competition. It was obvious to her parents that they had made the right decision by introducing their daughter to the world of dancesport. At an early age she already knew that the only way to succeed in life would be to make a commitment toward what she liked and wanted. Through her dancing career, TaTiana learned not just how to dance on a high level as an International 10 dance competitor, but also how to find and achieve personal goals through dancing. TaTiana participated in numerous IDSF (International Dance Sport Federation) competitions, took private lessons and participated in a variety of workshops with worldwide coaches from Lithuania, Russia, Germany, Denmark and the U.K.

TaTiana has been teaching ballroom dancing since 2003. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with students who want to learn or improve their dance skills. She is a very demanding teacher, working with students to increase their desire to be better dancers. Besides working on technique and styling, she works with individuals to achieve their dancing goals.

TaTiana's philosophy of dance: “In the first place, desire to dance is associated with a desire to be Yourself, to develop your individual qualities, to achieve your personal emotional and physical balance. Dance is Life, that teaches you how to understand many important aspects of living: being healthy, being emotionally strong, being a good friend-dance partner, being able to communicate with people of different beliefs, ages and levels of knowledge.”
